These Official Contest Rules govern the Destination Barbados: Fall Jet Away Contest, presented by Shine FM, AM The Light (Touch Canada Broadcasting ltd.) in partnership with Barbados Tourism Marketing, Inc.
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to be legally bound by these Official Contest Rules. The decisions and outcomes of the contest will be decided by Touch Canada Broadcasting Ltd (TCB). TCB reserves the right to draw a different winner if a selected winner doesn’t adhere to the following rules.
The Contest begins at September 8th at 12am and closes at September 30th, at 11:59:59am. All times are in Mountain Time.
The Contest is open to legal residents of Alberta/Canada — Flights would be out of Calgary or Edmonton so a winner must be able to get themselves to one of those airports. Contestants must be are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees, representatives, agents and immediate family members of Touch Canada Broadcasting, employed by any of this contests sponsors/partners, Barbados Tourism, their respective affiliated companies, advertising and promotional agencies, prize suppliers, and any other companies involved in the administration of the Contest are not eligible to enter.
TCB reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant or potential winner.
During the Contest Period, entrants may enter by sending a text message keyword to Shine FM and/or AM The Light’s Text line. Entries must also include their first/last name to get their entry into the draw.
Limit ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON PER DAY.
Entries generated by script, bot, macro, automated device, or other automated means are prohibited and may be disqualified. All entries become the property of TCB and will not be returned or acknowledged. Standard text messaging and data rates may apply. Entrants should consult their wireless service provider regarding applicable charges.
There is one (1) Grand Prize available to be won, consisting of a trip for four (4) people to Barbados. The 4 people consists of 2 adults (18+ years old), and 2 children (under 18 years old. OR 1 adult (18+ years old), and 3 children (under 18 years old).

The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize will be announced.
Prize details, including dates, flights, accommodations, activities, inclusions and other travel arrangements, are subject to availability, will have some blackout dates, and may be determined or arranged by the applicable travel/prize partners (Barbados Tourism).
The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded and is non-transferable and non-refundable. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or substituted by the winner, except as expressly permitted by these Rules.
Touch Canada Broadcasting ltd. And/or Barbados Tourism reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute any portion of the prize with a prize or prize component of equal or greater approximate retail value if the advertised prize or any component thereof becomes unavailable, cannot reasonably be provided, or circumstances beyond the Sponsor’s control prevent its provision.
Touch Canada Broadcastings decisions regarding the Contest, including eligibility, entry validity, winner selection, prize administration, and interpretation of these Official Contest Rules, are final and binding, subject to applicable law.
The Sponsor: Barbados Tourism reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the prize or its components where necessary to administer the Contest or where circumstances beyond the Sponsor’s control affect the availability of the prize.
The travel portion of the Grand Prize is being provided and/or facilitated by BARBADOS TOURISM and/or its designated travel, airline, accommodation and other service providers.
The Sponsor is not responsible for the operation, availability, quality, cancellation, delay, modification, interruption or performance of any airline, hotel, resort, tour operator, transportation provider, attraction, activity or other travel or trip component supplied or arranged by a third party.
Without limiting the foregoing, the Sponsors are not responsible for:
The Sponsor’s role is limited to providing the Grand Prize as described in these Rules. Responsibility for the delivery and operation of travel services rests with the applicable travel and tourism partner and service providers.
The winner and all guests are solely responsible for ensuring that they possess all documents required for international travel and for complying with all applicable entry, immigration, customs and travel requirements. The winner and guests should obtain appropriate travel insurance at their own expense.
The winner may be required to identify the three (3) guests accompanying them to TCB and Barbados Tourism.
All guests must meet any applicable eligibility, age and travel requirements and may be required to sign a release or waiver before travelling.
The winner is responsible for obtaining all required permissions and documentation for their guests.
On October 1st or October 2nd 2026, one potential Grand Prize winner will be selected by random draw from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
The odds of being selected depend on the number of eligible entries received.
The potential winner will be contacted using the telephone number associated with the winning entry.
If the potential winner cannot be reached within 48 HOURS, does not respond, does not meet the eligibility requirements, or cannot comply with these Official Contest Rules, TCB may select an alternate potential winner in accordance with the same procedure.
Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without assistance of any kind.
The skill-testing question may be administered by telephone, electronic communication or another method determined by Touch Canada Broadcasting ltd.
Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate potential winner.
By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to release Touch Canada Broadcasting, Barbados Tourism, their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotional agencies, employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives and all sponsors from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising out of or relating to participation in the Contest or acceptance, use or misuse of any prize, except to the extent prohibited by law.
Without limiting the foregoing, the released parties are not responsible for any technical failure, telecommunications failure, internet or wireless network failure, lost or delayed text message, incorrect or incomplete entry, equipment failure, software failure, unauthorized intervention, or any other circumstance that may interfere with the administration or operation of the Contest.
The Contest Sponsors and Touch Canada Broadcasting shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, cancellation, expense or inconvenience arising from any travel or trip component provided or arranged by Barbados Tourism or any other third-party travel provider, except to the extent such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Touch Canada Broadcasting reserves the right, in its sole discretion and subject to applicable law, to disqualify any entrant who it determines has violated these Official Contest Rules, tampered with the Contest entry process, attempted to interfere with the Contest’s operation, or acted in a fraudulent, disruptive, abusive or unfair manner. TCB also reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Contest, or amend these Rules, if any cause beyond its reasonable control affects the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest.
Any amendments to these Rules will be communicated in accordance with applicable law.
All decisions of the Sponsor concerning the Contest, including the interpretation and application of these Rules, the validity of entries, eligibility, winner selection and prize administration, are final and binding, subject to applicable law.
By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information by the TCB for the purposes of administering the Contest, contacting the potential winner, awarding the prize and otherwise as permitted or required by applicable law and the Sponsor’s privacy policy.
The winner and guests are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required passports, travel documents, visas, permits, insurance and other documentation necessary for travel to and from Barbados.
The winner and guests are responsible for any costs, fees, taxes or expenses not expressly included in the Grand Prize description.
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Touch Canada Broadcasting ltd. Sponsors and its representatives to use the winner’s name, city/province of residence, photographs, audio, likeness and statements regarding the contest and prize for promotional purposes without further compensation.
