Accessibility Progress Report May 15th, 2026
Touch Canada Broadcasting (TCB) Limited Partnership’s second Progress Report under the Accessible Canada Act provides an update on where TCB stands as of May 15, 2026. TCB continues to strive toward creating a more inclusive and accessible workplace and business environment for employees, customers, and audiences.
One of the biggest updates to programs and practices at TCB has been the continued focus on open lines of communication and improvements to digital communications and technologies. The addition of the Accessibility Plan, along with a focused approach to identifying concerns regarding inclusion and accessibility, has allowed employees to speak openly and honestly so TCB can continue improving as an organization. It is this ongoing communication that has helped lead us here. Employees, listeners, and customers all have opportunities to provide direct and anonymous feedback regarding issues TCB may not otherwise recognize as concerns.
Policies, Programs, and Removing Barriers
Digital communications and technologies are the areas where TCB has made the most significant improvements in 2026. An additional significant improvement is streamlining the payment systems with clients.
- With the help of partners such as Harvard Media, website developer Socast Digital, and internal employees, TCB continues to improve its website and digital presence to make them more inclusive and accessible. These efforts are not only the right thing to do, but they also allow more of TCB’s audience and clients to engage with and enjoy its content and services.
This includes the use of subtitles and captions on videos, such as TCB’s current streaming visual advertisement on Super Channel Plus, as well as the use of accessibility tools available through Instagram and Facebook.
TCB’s websites remain an area of continued growth and learning as the organization works to better utilize available accessibility tools and resources. Using resources that help improve website accessibility has become a regular practice. In addition to tools provided by Socast Digital, TCB also uses external website accessibility evaluators such as AudioEye, along with AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, to identify opportunities to improve accessibility and create a more user-friendly digital experience. Reviewing and improving accessibility across digital platforms has become a weekly, if not daily, focus for TCB.
- Streamlining payment systems and digital communications with clients has also been an important initiative at TCB in 2026. This project is currently underway, with the goal of simplifying digital interactions and making processes more accessible for clients and partners. While still ongoing, TCB believes these improvements will strengthen relationships with partners and create a more accessible experience for everyone involved.
Consultations with Experts and Persons with Disabilities
TCB continues to work with internal partners involved in the original Accessibility Plan while also relying on feedback from employees and audiences throughout 2026 to help identify concerns related to accessibility.
- As mentioned above, Socast Digital continues to be a valuable resource for improving TCB’s web presence and digital accessibility. TCB also regularly utilizes online tools and resources that provide guidance on creating a more inclusive digital experience.
- AdaptAbilities remains a valued partner, and while TCB has not connected with Bee Vee Professional Services in 2026, the organization continues to value their expertise in cultivating safe and inclusive environments. TCB looks forward to maintaining that relationship and continuing communication moving forward.
Feedback
TCB has not received any additional anonymous feedback during this reporting period. However, the organization values the feedback provided by employees and external partners. This input has helped initiate improvements to payment systems and strengthened communication practices with outside partners.
Conclusion
Accessibility and inclusion are ongoing commitments, and TCB recognizes that building a fully inclusive and accessible organization requires continuous learning, adaptation, and improvement. Maintaining accessible systems and practices must remain an ongoing focus throughout the organization.
Touch Canada Broadcasting remains committed to advancing equality, accessibility, and inclusion for employees, partners, customers, and audiences. TCB’s goals for 2026–2027 remain consistent: to continue progressing toward a fully inclusive work environment for all employees, while ensuring a fully accessible experience for individuals with and without disabilities who engage with TCB’s content, whether digitally or through radio broadcasting.
